Nobleboro Girl Scouts think about giving back:

Girl Scouts present at the October School Board Meeting
Our leaders asked us what we would like to do this year. One of the things we said was to give back to our community. Our group has been meeting at the school for 7 years and we would like to show our appreciation for the school letting us use the building for free. We noticed that the playground and the front of the school could use a makeover!

Our goal:  To improve the playground and the appearance of the outside of the school.

Our ideas:

  • Remove bushes and trees by playground fence
  • Trim back or remove bushes and tree along the front of the building
  • Build and place a Buddy Bench (1 or 2?)
  • Make and "plant" decorative stepping stones
  • Create a kindness rock garden
  • Build and fill a little FREE library and little FREE food pantry
  • Build and equip a play kitchen
  • Build a raised perennial flower garden
  • Create magnetic storyboards and games (tic tac toe)
