Attendance is important

Parents are reminded to call or email the school by 9am if your child is going to be late or absent.

State law sets the guidelines to determine what is considered an excused absence and at what point a student's absence is considered truancy.  A question of truancy can be avoided by calling or emailing the office if you know your child will be late or out for the day.

Your call or email is appreciated whenever you are keeping your student home for illness, a family emergency or other pre-approved absence.   If you need more details about attendance policies, our handbook has the information you are looking for, and the handbook is on our website under "Parent Resources."   This link will connect you to the entire handbook.  (See pages 9-11.)  NCS Handbook
