Jump Rope for Heart

As a school, we raised $2,922 in Jump Rope for Heart. Over 40 NCS kids participated and collected donations for the American Heart Association. Josh, Piper and Riley were our top three fundraisers.

An added bonus to the project: many of our students are now working hard on their jump rope skills, being active and having fun jumping rope!  Go Lions!

March=MEA.  The MEA (Maine Educational Assessment) is a yearly evaluation that provides valuable educational data for students in grades 3-8 in the areas of math, reading, writing and language skills. It's not something to stress about but, of course, every parent wants to send their child to school feeling ready to succeed.  Here are a few tips on how to support your child from home:
  • Get a full night's rest
  • Eat a healthy breakfast
  • Be at school on time. This will give them a positive feeling, "I am prepared and I will do well."
  • Remind them not to fret, but still do their best. That way, they'll be able to really see what they've accomplished!
Our testing periods are scheduled near the beginning of the day during a 3 week period beginning around March 19. Every Gr. 3-8 student is involved.

Here are some more March events:
