What's happening at NCS?

A LOT!

MEA testing has begun.  (See previous blog for more information about that.) You can support your child by providing a good amount of rest, a healthy breakfast and be sure to arrive at school on time. So far, it seems that the new assessment is going well.

Report cards were issued on Friday, April 3. We
hope you'll contact the school by emailing your child's teacher or contacting the office if you have questions.  FOR GRADES 5-8: You may acknowledge receipt of your child's trimester 2 grades by using this link:   GRADE 5-8 REPORT CARD CONFIRMATION  Grades K-4 confirm acknowledgement of report cards by returning the report card envelope to school.

On Friday and Saturday NCS will send two representatives to the District III 7/8th Grade Honors Festival.   Congratulations to 8th graders Emma C and Rachael S.

The Thursday morning jump rope program has begun. This is for 4-6th grade students. The group is meeting Thursday mornings before school 7:30-8:00.

Fourth grade swimming and water safety PE program began last week. Four sessions are scheduled at the Wiscasset Community Center pool on Wednesday afternoons.

NPTO meets Wednesday, April 8th--that's tonite!--at 6pm in the library. This evening's meeting will be an opportunity to get together and prepare for Friday evening's BIG fundraising/community event--NOBLEBORO NONSENSE!  Parents and staff are always welcome at NPTO.  If you would like to donate a dessert, please sign up here:  JUST DESSERTS!

LIFETOUCH will be here on Monday morning, April 13th for spring picture day. Flyers with the details have been given to children to bring home.   In the spring, we offer a sitting to everyone. Purchasing a package is optional.  See flyer for more information.
