Take a look at this!

Two 8th grade students, Allison and Quinn, are attending the 21st ANNUAL GIRLS' DAY at the STATE HOUSE today.   Quinn and Allison will experience state government in an interactive way through workshops, discussions and hands-on activities.  They'll learn about civic participation, policy-making, and the role our legislators play in state government.

Back at school, our BATTLE OF THE BOOKS team is representing NCS at Lincoln Academy in a celebration/discussion/challenge. Our students have read and prepared well for the task! Tennis for grade 5 and swimming for grade 4 continues in PE.

Today is the end of Trimester 2.  Report cards go home or are online next Friday, March 31.

We say goodbye and thank you to our Kieve educators in residence today. Noah and Katrina have been very involved in our school and after school program for the last few months.  We've all enjoyed and appreciated their presence at NCS and wish them well in their spring/summer endeavors.

Looking ahead, parents, please remember:
  • Maine Educational Assessment (MEA) continues for grades 3-8. Plenty of rest, a good breakfast and regular attendance are the best preparation for MEA's.
  • The JR HIGH SPRING SPORTS schedule begins. See the website for dates.
  • Alden Hunold will represent us at the state level National Geographic GEOGRAPHY BEE on Friday, March 31.
  • LIFETOUCH Spring Photos--Friday morning, March 31.   The spring portraits are a little fancier than the traditional fall school photos. When the portrait packages arrive, we'll notify you. You'll be able to view them and decide if you'd like to purchase a package. (No pressure, but they are nice!)
Finally, countdown to NOBLEBORO NONSENSE! Friday, April 7. 5-7pm. You're invited to a community dinner & FUNdraising event sponsored by the NPTO.
