April: Showers of Activity!

Alden H represents our school today at the 2018 Maine State Geography Bee in Farmington!

Lifetouch will be at school on Thursday, April 12. If you're interested, be sure that you have either (1) ordered a package online or (2) your child(ren) bring in their pre-paid form that morning. Forms recently went home with all students. We have extras in the office, if needed. Some families like to take advantage of Lifetouch's spring portrait offer, which has more options of backgrounds than the fall "school" pictures.Only the students with the form and those who pre-ordered online will be photographed this spring.

Our 7th grade heads to Kieve for Leadership School next week, April 9-13th.

Baseball, softball and spring track have officially begun. Refer to our school family calendar for practices. It looks like the first game is after spring break on Tuesday, April 24, an away game at Bristol. GO LIONS!!!!

Wait a minute! Spring break?!?!!!  Spring vacation. Already? Yes! Enjoy family time April 16-20.

Family Fun Night (free to all NCS families) at the newly renovated YMCA is happening Friday, April 27 beginning at 5:30. (See previous post for details.)

Also after spring break:

  • NCS Spring Book Fair, April 30-May 4.  It's Buy-One-Get-One-FREE!
  • Spring Arts Festival (concert) is Thursday, May 3 @ 6:15. Students should be in their classrooms at 6:00. Band and Senior Chorus warm up in the music room at 6:00. We hope you come to this spring event!
  • Kindergarten Registration for families with children entering school in September will be held at the end of May.  There will be no school for our current kindergarten class on Thursday, May 31 and Friday, June 1.  Families of children entering kindergarten 2018 are asked to complete this link by mid-April (or call the school office):  https://sites.google.com/a/aos93.org/ncs/home/kindergarten-registration
