June 8 through 12 and beyond!

From all accounts, the K & Gr. 1 play--Earth Worms Make America Great!--was a success!

Here are some dates and events that parents will want to be aware of this week:

  • The Book Fair is open June 8-12 in the library before school and after dismissal. This is the popular NPTO buy-one-get-one-free sale. You may find it to be a convenient way to prepare for summer reading!  The fair will also be open before/after the Spring Concert on Thursday.
  • On Wednesday, June 10 the boys baseball semifinal playoff game v. Medomak Middle School will be held at NCS.   Please note the change in time--3:00.  We hope you'll come to cheer on our Lions!
  • Thursday evening, June 11, is the last opportunity to view/purchase the spring pictures from Lifetouch.   If you'd like to see your child's pictures, please stop in at the office this week, and we'll give one last opportunity to purchase a package the evening of the concert.
  • The Spring Concert is Thursday, June 11 at 6:30.   Band and Sr. Chorus should meet and warm up in the Music Room at 6pm. All other students should be in their classrooms at 6:15.

Next week 8th grade students go whitewater rafting on Monday, June 15th. They will spend time later in the week preparing for the 8th grade promotion celebration, to be held on Thursday evening, June 18th at 6 pm.

The 6th grade will attend the Gulf of Maine Institute in Portland on Tuesday, June 16th.

See other recent blogs and the NCS family calendar for more end of year information. If you are looking for things to do this summer, check on our new community offerings page:  Community Offerings: Look under Community Links.  We hope you'll have a good week!
